🦷 How to Create Your Perfect Impression
To ensure your custom Grillz fit perfectly, please follow these steps precisely. You have about 30 seconds of total working time before the putty begins to harden, so read all steps before starting!
1. Mix & Shape
-
Mix: Take one white and one blue putty. Knead them together quickly for 3–5 seconds until the color is solid blue with no white streaks.
-
Roll: Immediately roll the putty into a 2-inch "hot dog" shape.
-
Load: Place the putty into the tray. Ensure no putty is hanging over the edges.
2. Take the Impression
-
Align & Bite: Immediately center the tray with your teeth and bite down firmly all the way.
-
Hold Still: Bite down only once. Do not talk, move your jaw, or adjust the tray.
-
Seal: While keeping your teeth clenched, use your fingers to gently push any excess putty up against your gum line for a detailed mold.
3. Set & Remove
-
Wait: Hold the tray in place for 3–4 minutes.
-
Test: Poke the putty with your fingernail. If it feels soft or leaves an indentation, wait another 2 minutes.
-
Release: Once the putty is firm, gently wiggle the tray from side to side to release the suction and remove it from your mouth.
4. Quality Check & Shipping
-
Rinse: Clean the impression with cool water and place it in the provided Ziploc bag. Do not remove the mold from the tray.
-
Photo Approval: 📸 You must email us photos of your molds before shipping them back. We need to see a clear gum line and deep tooth indentations to ensure a perfect fit.
-
Ship: Include your order sheet in the bag. Purchase a return shipping label via UPS or USPS and email us the tracking number immediately.
⚠️ Important Reminders
-
Failed Molds: If the instructions are not followed or the impression is shallow/blurry, you will need to purchase a new mold kit. We cannot create quality Grillz from a bad mold.
-
Usage: Use two mold kits for a "top only" or "bottom only" order to ensure we have a backup.
Pro Tip: Set a timer on your phone before you start mixing! Speed is the key to a smooth, accurate impression.
